Guan Yuling, known as a professional painter with Yuling as her stage name, was born in 1966 in Yongji County of Jilin Province and is now living in Beidaihe of Hebei Province.
Since her childhood, she was crazy about copying picture books. When she was fourteen, she knew oil painting. Over the past few decades, she has been considerately tutored and greatly praised by Professor Ge Pengren, a famous oil painter of China Central Academy of Fine Arts and Mr. Zhao Guide, a famous Chinese painting artist and the Chairman of Hebei Association of Artists. She has humorously likened her home into a small art salon because some famous artists, such as Wen Lipeng, Chao Ge, Deng Guoyuan, Wang Kun, Sun Jianping, Yan Ping, Wang Keju and Sungang, have ever given lectures here. Meanwhile, famous Chinese painting artists Huo Chunyang, Li Xiaoxuan, Li Xiaozhu, Li Zhuangge and Jiang Shiguo as well as American artist Mark and German sculpture Ahrens have kept longstanding relationship with her.
Her works are published on Chinese Oil Painting many times. Moreover, her works have ever been seen on Art Observation and LEAP. The masterpiece My Big Baby was given the award for excellent works depicting women and children. Many of her works are collected by foreign friends.
She attended various exhibitions of Hebei Province and Dream-seeking Girl Series was given the special award.
She received further education at School of Arts of Renmin University of China in 2007. She planned and launched the exhibition of works created by eight female painters of Qinhuangdao with the theme of Tour amid the Song of Farewell.
She attended the Eastern and Western Art Exchanges at the invitation of the US-based ICAS (International Contemporary Art & Sculpture) in 2013 and all her works have been conserved.
